Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) September 20, 2012
CloudLinux (http://www.cloudlinux.com), the developer of the only operating system designed for shared web hosting service providers, announced today that the team will attend cPanel Conference 2012 in Houston, Texas. The company plans to detail exciting new features of CloudLinux, and deliver a speech on improving the uptime of shared hosting at an OS level.
CloudLinux is pleased to be a Senior-level exhibitor at this years cPanel Conference, says Igor Seletskiy, Founder and CEO at CloudLinux. Since CloudLinux was launched, we have formed lasting relationships with many people in the shared web hosting industry, and we look forward to cementing these relationships and starting new ones at the conference. I will also be delivering a practical, informative speech on how CloudLinux can be used to improve server uptime and maximize performance.
Based on the Linux kernel, CloudLinux is the only operating system explicitly designed for the needs of shared web hosting providers. One of the most significant issues shared hosting companies face is the unpredictable nature of customer usage and resource allocation. Typically, an OS allocates CPU, RAM, and IO to accounts on-demand, as and when resources are required. However, this means that hosting providers are unable to control usage on a per-customer basis, leading to inconsistent performance and service outage across all accounts if one customer monopolizes resources. On Tuesday, October 9th, Seletskiy will deliver a speech titled In the Pursuit of Higher Uptime: Use CloudLinux to Achieve Peak Server Performance. In the talk, Seletskiy will discuss the features of CloudLinux that help hosting companies guarantee high availability while maximizing the capacity of each server.
It is in the interest of every shared web hosting provider to fill hardware with as many accounts as possible, says Seletskiy. But to really get the most from a server, the provider can take steps to control usage and ensure great performance for every customer. My talk will reveal how CloudLinux is a reliable, cost-effective way to guarantee uptime, attract more customers, and keep them satisfied. I also hope that attendees will visit us at the CloudLinux booth, where we will be talking about some exciting new features that will make CloudLinux an even more advanced OS for the shared web hosting industry.
During the conference, CloudLinux will be showcasing some new additions to the operating system that increase the level of granular control hosting providers have over each shared web hosting plan. The first of these is a new version of MySQL Governor that allows hosting companies to monitor and control MySQL usage for each customer. The new version allows hosts to improve performance by controlling and monitoring the CPU and IO resources used in each database query. The governor can then automatically limit abusers, preventing the system from overloading or failing. Second, CloudLinux is adding a PHP selector that allows each individual customer to use a specific version of PHP and specific PHP modules. With these new features to increase control, shared hosting providers can offer the best possible service to their customers without expanding their hardware servers.
PHP and MySQL are two of the most widely used tools for dynamic web content, says Seletskiy. Almost every shared hosting customer needs PHP and MySQL, but not every customer needs the same things. The new features we will be talking about at the cPanel Conference will help hosting companies give customers what they need, in a way that is resource-efficient and regulated. I look forward to seeing as many people as possible at our booth to learn what CloudLinux can do for their business.
CloudLinux is rapidly growing into a leading choice of operating system for shared web hosting providers, offering a better service for customers that is easier and more cost-effective to run for hosting providers. Visit CloudLinux at cPanel Conference 2012 and be sure to attend Seletskiys speech to learn more about these impressive new features.
cPanel Conference 2012 takes place October 8th-10th in Houston, Texas. CloudLinux will be in attendance for the duration of the event, and Seletskiys speech, In the Pursuit of Higher Uptime: Use CloudLinux to Achieve Peak Server Performance, will be delivered on Tuesday, Oct 9th, at 4pm.
